For Saturday: Kansas has a lot of butterflies. They are pretty.

For Sunday: There are a lot of good places to eat in Kansas. Lots of restaurants.

Kansas

So we are "temporarily" living in Kansas. Neither of us is happy. It would make it a lot different if we were here by choice. In any event, we have bad attitudes. So every day, I'm going to try to think about something nice about Kansas, to keep it all in perspective.

November 19, 2010: In Michigan, there are traffic cops everywhere, waiting on you and preying on you to write you a ticket. Not so in Kansas. I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen police vehicles out patrolling. I've never seen anyone pulled over for a ticket. It's nice to be in a better economy where police don't have to pull people over for every little thing to make a quota.

Waffles

Hi! I made the best waffles for breakfast this morning and thought I'd share.

2 eggs (beat first)
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup melted butter
and I added 2 tablespoons of sugar, even though the recipe didn't call for it.

They were delicious! Golden brown on the outside, crunchy, yet soft in the middle. Yum!

Hello!

Hello! I just set up this blog because I'm jealous of everyone that has a nice blog. Also, I wanted to see if it is easy or hard. Here is what's going on with us so far in 2010:

1) I'm going to Florida in February to see my parents
2) Dan and I are going to Florida together in March to see my parents

So far, that is it! I will update as exciting things occur. Until then, I thought you would all enjoy seeing Daisy in her Snuggie, courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa at Christmas.
